48' APEX ramp system installed at a distribution center in Mobile, AL

A distribution center in Mobile, AL needed to provide their employees and guests with an ADA / IBC compliant wheelchair ramp system and the APEX system worked perfectly. Upside Innovations installed a 48' L-Ramp to keep the APEX system tight up against the existing warehouse facility and minimize the amount of parking spaces taken up by this long ramp system.

The Upside team came up with a configuration that came down from the finished floor elevation 18 feet to a turning platform and then the remaining 30 feet of ramp was installed down to grade. The APEX ramp product's modular design allows an installation like this to be completed while using all standard parts and pieces, avoiding costly custom design and fabrication.

The solution eliminates custom fabrication, code compliance issues, and time-consuming engineering while reducing costs, installation time, and complexity. Weather-resistant aluminum can be reconfigured to adapt to changing applications or remobilizations and ensure the industry’s longest service life.

The APEX System is a line of integrated access products that can be configured to meet the most challenging applications.
