Modular Wheelchair Ramp and Railing Installation

modular wheelchair ramp and railing installation

The APEX ramp system with railings was used to retrofit this existing brick-and-mortar apartment facility for compliant tenant access. A stand-alone rail was also installed for edge protection on the cellar access step.

Retrofitting their brick-and-mortar building to meet ADA and IBC codes for wheelchair access was not a problem using the Upside Innovations modular APEX ramp system.

Upside's installation team installed a door platform above an existing concrete block platform that led to a switchback ramp down to the existing sidewalk. In addition, a guardrail was fabricated and installed to protect the ledge of an existing set of steps going down to the basement door.
