When a realty company in Brooklyn, NY needed to provide residents with ADA compliant access from their parking garage to the apartment building they turned to Upside Innovations to provide a solution. The Upside engineering team came up with a custom APEX ramp system, with only 3' in between the handrails instead of our standard 4', and the double switchback ramp was able to fit between the finished elevation and the existing concrete columns. This solution allows the residents to have safe, compliant access to their apartments while minimizing the amount of parking reduction with a reduced footprint APEX ramp system.
